Gene Leuwer serves as Executive Director of Rocky Mountain Development Council and as such has been active in affordable housing issues for several years.   He is currently involved in community planning as it relates to affordable housing, homeownership projects, first-time home buyer efforts, efforts to preserve older subsidized multifamily projects, and efforts to develop new multifamily rental projects.  Mr. Leuwer currently serves as Vice Chair of Energy Share of Montana and has been active with issues regarding energy deregulation, especially Universal System Benefits as they regard low-income energy consumers.  He is a graduate of Carroll College in Helena, Montana.
