Mike Fladeland is the Manager of Energy Business Development for the North Dakota Department of Commerce, Bismarck, North Dakota.  He assists energy-related businesses with start-up, retention/expansion, or relocation activities.  Prior to his current position, he worked with Montana-Dakota Utilities Co., Bismarck, in marketing and economic development.  Mr. Fladeland was also broker and co-owner of Century 21 Dakota Gold, a real estate company in Jamestown, North Dakota.  He graduated from North Dakota State University with a BS in Business Economics and has a Masters in Management from the University of Mary.  In 1990, he graduated from the Economic Development Institute, University of Oklahoma.  He has also received the Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP) certification from the National Development Council.
