Mike Fladeland is the Community Development Coordinator for Montana-Dakota Utilities Co.  He works with communities in western North Dakota, eastern Montana, and north central Wyoming on economic development projects and promotes state and community involvement by the company and the employees.  Since 1987, he has planned and implemented a number of community-related programs including designing a Strategic Planning Workshop. He also administers the company’s funding for community and economic development organizations.  Mr. Fladeland holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Economics from NDSU, a Masters in Management from the University of Mary, and the Economic Development Finance Professional Certification from the National Development Council.  He currently serves on the board of directors of the North Dakota Rural Development Council. He has also served as a member of the board of directors of the Information Technology Council of North Dakota, President of the Industrial Development Association of North Dakota, and a director of the Mid-America Economic Development Council.
